WEST BANK STORY

The Israeli Army have stepped up their campaign against activists showing solidarity with Palestinians in the West Bank. On Sunday, IDF units raided a flat in Ramallah used by activists from the International Solidarity Movement. Ariadna Jove Marti from Spain and Bridgette Chappelle from Australia were arrested by the army and handed over to immigration authorities.

After protests from Spain’s foreign ministry, the two were released when the Israeli Supreme Court ruled that the two’s arrest was illegal as Israeli immigration authorities have no jurisdiction in the area.

Cohen and Shatz said the arrests were part of Israel’s campaign to choke off the weekly demonstrations by Palestinians, left-wing Israelis and foreign activists against the separation barrier.

This harassment and illegal detention seems to me to be a continuation of Israel's unprecedented attempts over the last year to prevent internationals from entering the West Bank - by issuing Israel-only or West Bank-only visas.

Britian's refusal of Visas to three farmers due to visit during Fairtrade fortnight looks like a helping hand to Israel to further this isolationist policy.

What right did Balfour have to start dividing up the Middle East in the first place?

Restore the Balfour, which was corrupted by Britain for 30 barrels of oil, and let's have a Nuremberg II Trial for all those who called a deathly 3-state as a 2-state. Israel is now *OCCUPYING* 12% of the land allocated her in the Balfour Dec - but it seems there's a large group who have a Jewish problem - they are obsessed for a new golf course on soccer sized Israel. Let them count:

'IT WILL BE A HISTORIC COMPROMISE TO GRANT TWO STATES IN PALESTINE - ONE FOR THE ARABS AND ONE FOR THE JEWS" - A cigar chomping Churchill, who carved off 80% of the land mandated for Jews to a Saudi.

AT LEAST THE NAZIS WERE HONEST ABOUT IT.

A brief history of the Dragon Festival and Cigarrones travellers site, southern Spain.
The Cigarrones travellers’ site is one of several communities which have sprung up near Orgiva in Andalucía, Spain, in recent decades. Coming to the southern tip of Europe to escape the repression against travellers in Britain and elsewhere, they have carved out a life of avin’ it autonomous anarchy – despite increasing attention from tinpot local authorities who act like Franco is still in. Since 1997 the site has held the annual Dragon Festival - now arguably one of the most significant free festivals in Europe – but this is also under attack. Here is a brief history written by a resident of Cigarrones:
