COAL-AMITY
Campaigners against the Huntington Lane open cast coal mine took their No New Coal message on a flying tour of nearby Telford last Saturday (6th), draping their banner over local landmarks.
With many trees already felled at the site, the start of mining operations seems imminent. The group are now appealing for support in defending the Shropshire Hills against the proposed mine, which was approved last year.
