Video Format Help

SchMOVIE files are in several formats - mostly mpg1 and the odd wmv file. Earlier ones are mostly in Quicktime format (.mov files), and a few Realplayer ones (.rm). We aim to have big and small versions of each film sometime in the future when we can.

To play these movies SchMOVIES recommends the free/open-source Videolan VLC media player, which plays most formats and is available for Windows, Mac and most Linux distros. Free to download at www.videolan.org

Copyleft

SchMOVIES are copyleft - which means that they are owned by the producers but are free for anyone to use or screen for a not-for-profit purpose (unless it's a worthy benefit gig). In the copyleft arrangement you can even use parts of SchMOVIES in your own film, but unless prior agreements have been made, the resultant film must also carry 'copyleft' status.
